The lantern light is completely absent now, with nothing but the blue light of nighttime to illuminate the cell and its inhabitants, leaking in from the hallway beyond the cell door.
Panel 1: “The glowing eyes aren’t exactly subtle darling,” the cambion answers, face bemused.
Panel 2: “Oh, ri-right,” the woman mutters, averting her gaze. Her eyes cast a touch of orange glow onto the bridge of her nose.
Panel 3: “Anyway...” the cambion continues, “How did you wind up here?” she begins to turn away from the woman.
Panel 4: “The elysians I know—” She begins, facing the wall, but stops herself abruptly.
Panel 5: She silently continues facing away.
Panel 6: “Well... I wouldn’t expect to run into them in a cell,” she says, glancing outside the cell.
Panel 7: “Oh, well I...” the woman begins to respond, visibly uncomfortable.
Panels 8 & 9: The panels are cut diagonally in half, at the top is the woman in the cell, a haunted and distant look in her eyes. “I-I...” she continues.
The bottom panel depicts the woman’s hand out stretched in front of her covered in blood, which is also splattered across her clothing. There are golden glowing butterflies around her, and the panel is covered with static. The panels line up in such a way that the woman appears to be looking down at her hands. “Killed a man,” she concludes.
Panel 10: “Oh yeah?” the cambion looks back at the woman, “Must’ve been someone important, huh?”
Panel 11: She glances back at the cell door and mutters to herself, “I kill people all the time and they only care about the piracy.”
Panel 12: A closeup of the other woman’s face, looking deeply deeply unsettled, eyes locked onto the cambion and sweat dripping down her face.
