Then she drops suddenly from the roof.

“Tempest!!” Callisto cries out in horror, rushing to the lip and looking down, expecting to see a puddle of red and blue smattering the paving below. Instead, she’s met with the giant rooster, the claws upon his wings latched deep into the timber frame of the house below her, and Tempest herself smiling and waving up at her.

“I’m fine, jump!” she calls up to her.

Callisto stares at her for a moment, then remembers what she’s asking her to do and her stomach drops unpleasantly. Can she really trust her and this wild animal to catch her?

Transcription

The bell continues to ring out periodically as the panels progress.

Panel 1: Tempest leaps off of the roof with a “Hup!”

Panel 2: Callisto throws herself to the edge of the roof in horror, “Tempest!”

Panel 3: The rooster has latched onto the side of the wall, Tempest grinning happily up at her and waving from the saddle, and the guard that was in the rooster’s mouth before crawling weakly away below them. The rooster beast has raptor-like claws from his wings, though with more digits and a more hand-like structure. These claws are currently hooked into the timber framing of the building. “I’m fine, jump!” Tempest calls up to her.

Panel 4: Callisto stares down at the scene below her dumbfounded.

Panel 5: “Mmf,” Callisto scrunches her face up and the dragonling catches up with her.
