“Er... erm... Tempest, they’re....” Callisto points awkwardly behind them as the shouts of the guards grows louder, but the cambion just stands there and whistles the same 3 notes over and over.

The notes seem to hang in the air, echoing over the rooftops and into the city. Then suddenly—BOOM! Somewhere in the great keep they just escaped from comes a cloud of dust and smoke and a flurry of startled seagulls take to the sky, accompanied by the mighty crow of a rooster. “Oh there he is,” Tempest says, nonchalant while Callisto lets out a shocked yelp.

“Shall we,” Tempest says turning to Callisto with a smile. Her smile falls when she sees the woman’s tense expression fixed on the rising cloud of smoke in the distance. She replaces it with a reassuring one. “Ah, it’s okay darling, you’re safe with me,” she says, offering her hand to Callisto. “I won’t let him hurt you,” she adds with a wink.

Panel 1: The duo look out over the rooftops of Port Eskham, grey and shrouded in mist and rainfall from the heavy storm above, blue roofs fading away into the fog, the city’s cove just a silhouette in the distance. Tempest’s notes carry out into the air, and Callisto awkwardly points behind them and says “Er.. Erm... Tempest, they’re...”

Panel 2: BOOM! There’s an explosion from the small part of the keep we can see from this angle. A rooster’s cry is heard from that location as a cloud of gulls takes to the sky. “Oh there he is,” Tempest says nonchalantly. “AIYEE?!” Callisto yelps in shock.

Panel 3: Tempest turns with a grin to Callisto, “Shall we?”

Panel 4: Callisto is not looking at her, instead an uncomfortable tense expression is on her face as she stares at the rising smoke.

Panel 5: Tempest’s face falls

Panel 6: She shifts to a reassuring smile, “Ah, it’s okay darling,”

Panel 7: “You’re safe with me,” a close up of her outstretched hand.

Panel 8: “I won’t let him hurt you,” she winks at her.
