The great rooster’s feathers and muscles shift back and forth against slow and heavy footfalls beneath the saddle under her, and Callisto watches Tempest guide the beast through the thicket and undergrowth of the woods. Minerva snores faintly in her ear, the little dragon’s body curled up around her neck and across her shoulders.

The rooster’s vibrant orange feathers create a shock of warm colour on the otherwise grey and damp landscape they traverse through, and Callisto finds herself wondering to herself, what is he called...?

The stark contrasts of orange, red, and blue plumage puts her in mind of the warm rays of sunshine on a clear day. “Could he be named after Galios?” she muses, envisioning in her minds eye the great rooster in the sky whose fiery gaze envelopes the earth by day.

But then she shakes her head, “No... That’s such a cliché, everyone names their rooster after her. What am I thinking! It’s gotta be something way more interesting.”

Panel 1: Callisto sits astride the giant rooster, and Tempest walks beside him with a hand on his head, guiding him. They walk through a dense thicket of leaves and trees.

Panel 2: Chungy from Callisto’s POV

Panel 3: Callisto looking down at him, with Minerva the little dragonling wrapped around her neck and shoulders, fast asleep.

Panel 4: She lifts a hand to her chin and ponders, “I wonder what he’s called...”

Panel 5: “He has such gorgeous plumage, like rays of sunshine,” she muses, “Could he be named after Galios?”

Behind her the woodland has fallen away and been replaced with the visions of her imagination. On her right is the rooster, and behind her is Galios, a many winged being with a glowing eye at her center, complete with lashes that almost look like the comb of a rooster... Galios is depicted in the sky, with beams of light emanating out from him. She appears to be a representation of the sun itself.

Panel 6: Callisto’s imagination disappears and the woodland returns. “Wait no... that’s such a cliche”, she says and shifts her hand to her cheek. “Everyone names their rooster after her, what am I thinking. It’s gotta be something way more interesting.”
