“Shit!” Tempest hisses, boxed in and frantically scouring the alleyway for some kind of out. Her eyes land on a pile of barrels next to a window beneath a balcony, and she darts right for it, “This way!” she calls, hopping up and holding a hand out for the other woman.

The mighty hen lets out a great crow and the alleyway is filled with the scraping of her claws and the pounding of her feet as she charges right for them. Tempest gives Callisto a firm push up onto the balcony, then with a leap and a swing kicks the barrels out from underneath her and makes her own way up.

The barrels clatter and tumble down into the alleyway, sliding right underfoot of the fowl and startling her out of her charge, her clipped wings spreading desperately for balance and bucking off her rider in the process.

Panel 1: “Shit!” Tempest hisses, and Callisto’s face darkens.

Panel 2 & 3: Tempest frantically looks around the alley way

Panel 4: She see’s something!

Panel 5: “This way!” she calls, the panel showing a pile of barrels we saw earlier beside a window underneath a balcony.

Panel 6: Tempest climbing up onto the barrels

Panel 7: Tempest holds a hand out to Callisto. The hen lets out a great crowing cry.

Panel 8: Tempest gives Callisto a push up onto the balcony, and the heavy footfalls of the hen begin to fill the alleyway.

Panel 9: The back of Tempest’s head as she looks at the oncoming threat.

Panel 10: The guard charging towards them, polearm lowered and ready to skewer her.

Panel 11: Tempest grabs onto the window shutter and roughly kicks the barrel beneath her

Panel 12: “Buaark!!” The barrels scatter into the alleyway underfoot, cutting the fowl’s charge short as she skids to a halt and spreads her clipped wings wide to catch her balance, the guard on her back desperately trying to hold on.
